My Daughter's dream was to have an outdoor wedding, and her fiancé wanted it held at the family cottage on Lake Muskoka. Our challenge was, how do we transform this beautiful location into something that would look like a wedding was happening. Well, let me tell you, the best thing that could have happened to us was meeting Elizabeth and her team at Eventdecorator.com. From the first consultation we knew we were in for something special.
She spent one on one time with my daughter and her fiancé reviewing every detail to ensure their vision would come to reality. They came prepared with a color scheme and couple of ideas, and Elizabeth took it from there. By the end of the consultation she was to come up with a concept that we would never have imagined. The experience was amazing. When the big day arrived, we stood looking at a drab looking tent, empty deck, and white chairs facing the lake where the ceremony will be held and imagining what was to happen. Then Elizabeth and Nicole arrived and began transforming the spaces into something that can only be described as spectacular. The tent was turned into a 5 star resort. The tables adorned with beautiful centerpieces, sparkling tablecloths and beautiful candles. The deck turned into a spectacular place for the guests to have a drink and enjoy the view of the lake. The arbour for the ceremony was breathtaking, the kissing balls on the chairs were so cute. When the guests arrived their mouths dropped open in awe of the beauty of the decor. Everything flowed with the environment, the colors and florals complimented the location by the lake. The guest felt as though they were attending a wedding at a 5+ star hotel. Evendecorator.com transformed the ordinary into something extraordinary and magical. Elizabeth and her team were the most professional group I have had the pleasure to work with. They truly love what they do and it showed in everything they do. They were responsive to our many questions, they made us feel we were a part of the journey to make my Daughters dream come true. A big BIG thank you to you Elizabeth and your team, I wanted to let you know right away how much we appreciated your creativity and your team's professionalism - you made our day a dream come true in SO many ways.... Working with you was so wonderful, as you took Lindsay's basic ideas and running with them to make a beatiful environment for both the ceremony and the reception; being patient with us dealing with details.... but most of all just having full confidence that beauty and professional detail would be provided was such a blessing. There were so many comments about the flowers in particular and the vintage brooch 'twist' to the theme was a HUGE success. The brooches in the centrepieces were noted. We decided to give the aunts on my side of the family each a one to wear at the ceremony and beyond (since there were corsages for the other side of the family) and they were all very touches and LOVED the idea. Of course, most of all - the Brooch Bouquet - there are NO WORDs to describe the beauty.... from the moment Lindsay saw it, her floral bouquet was set aside and she decided to carry the brooch bouquet.... everyone was talking - what is it? what is she carrying? can I see it? We all imagined the life stories of those vintage brooches sprinkled throughout the room.... where they had been , who had owned them - it was like a hundred more lives of experience were there with us on Saturday. The bouquet will be a unique keepsake that brought our brooch collection, and your creativity together to make a keepsake of a lifetime. Who knows, we may have started a new family tradition -the next generation may also carry it at their weddings. I would be amiss if I did not make a special note about Jessica - the day-of coordination was the greatest gift to Lindsay and I... and to Steve who worried the details on the wedding day. I dont think anyone else could have done the incredible job that Jessica did - she is one-of-a-kind for sure. To sum it all up one small word with huge emotion - THANKS! We can't say it big enough or enough times to send our true feelings but there it is..... and feel free to quote me on that! The team at eventdecorator.com is incredible. They made sure they understood what I wanted, and delivered it flawlessly. I have very high expectations being a designer myself, and they had me speechless when I walked into my reception room (even though I knew what every detail would be!). I worked mostly with Elizabeth and Jessica face-to-face. Elizabeth has the abilities, vendors, and creativity to put together ANYTHING that one could dream of. We explained to Elizabeth the "feeling" and colours we wanted and she presented all the details and options of the decor that would display our dream wedding. From the arrangements of the flowers to the "birch-nature" theme of our wedding, every detail was looked after and the decor turned out to be even more than what we wanted! Several of my friends came up to me afterward to tell me it was one of the most beautiful weddings they have ever attended. Event Decorator even stayed to help pin flowers and bring flowers up and down the stairs. Although it was the weekend of the G-20, they came ahead of schedule and set up everything both at the ceremony and the reception.
In terms of responsiveness, they were excellent - all our emails were answered right away and they were very flexible and professional, especially when we wanted to change some details to our flowers and decor. We highly recommend Event Decorator, as they met our every need, both during the planning process and on the day of the wedding.

When we first met Elizabeth we asked for a Cinderella theme for our long weekend wedding, and her team truly brought it to life. I really want to tell you how wonderful and perfect the wedding went. Jessica your event planner was a gift. The decor was above and beyond anything I could ever have imagined. The wedding and ceremony rooms were dreamy. I loved the candle lanterns, the fabric draped in the isle, the flowers and the fabric we choose. I am not sure how the charger plates or napkin holders got back in our budget, but it looked divine. George loved the sofa and lounge area. It could not have been better in anyway. Our guests felt so comfortable, and despite the slightly tight space, each had plenty of room to move around and socialize with those around them. The lighting was perfect, romantic without being too dim - and the centerpieces!! Stunning, to say the least!! You may know I'm a girl who does her research - and I can say with great confidence that there's no one out there with your sense of style and intuition when it comes to bringing another person's dream to reality. I was always so comfortable having you on board, and had absolute confidence in your design concept. Even when we had to make adjustments here and there, you always had great suggestions and never put me in a position to worry. It's safe to say that the floral and event design was the absolute least of my worries, which is saying a lot when it comes to weddings and the amount of planning and stress involved!! I can't thank you enough, and will be recommending you to all our friends who are planning their weddings. As well, please thank your very talented team on our behalf - their attention to detail in executing everything from the flowers to the napkins and table names was unparalleled. We know a great deal of work went into the day, and we hope you know what a difference that made on the biggest day of our lives. You are all extremely talented! All the very best Elizabeth.

Even people who were not there that saw the pictures said,”the decorations look like something out of a magazine!" You went above and beyond what you were asked. You captured the essence and the theme of my wedding day which was an Island theme. Guests also stated that the decor made them feel like they were at a destination wedding. Words are simply not enough to express how we feel. I would definitely recommend you to friends, family, and anyone that needs decor for an event.p.s. I think the photos do justice to the flowers…the flowers on the trellis for the ceremony were exquisite, the centerpieces exactly as we had seen in the sample, Wendy’s bouquet…perfection, and we loved the tablescape you created for the head table.  Thank you so much for making our wedding a dream come true! From the first time we met with you I knew that our wedding was going to be beautiful. You even managed to get Ryan excited about the décor! When I started my walk down the aisle and I caught the first glimpse of the beach point, the beauty of it took my breath away. I can’t thank you enough for giving me that everlasting memory. The floral arrangements were spectacular and the pomanders transitioned into beautiful centerpieces. The lounge furniture was a great addition to the party and our guests definitely put them to good use! And I loved how intimate the set-up of the reception was. Our wedding party really enjoyed the layout of the head table, as we were able to enjoy everyone’s company during dinner, as opposed to just the person on either side of you. Thank you for all the thought you and your team put into every little detail. I tend to be a bit of a control freak and it was an absolute relief to be able to give you and your very talented team creative freedom to design a “WOW” wedding for us. They smelled awesome! Of course there was hardly anything left to the cake! Not a lot of people eat the cake at weddings so I know it must have been good.
