Wedding Invitations - Print on tree free or recycled paper.

Food and Beverage - Serve sustainably grown and seasonal foods and herbs.  Many wonderful locally grown options are available.  Use eco-friendly caterers or restaurants when creating your menu.  For a refreshing change serve organic or herbal beverages at the reception and rehearsal dinner. 

Table settings - Show your nature loving side by using natural elements for your place cards and napkin treatments.  Write guests names on the leaves or pebbles, creating a unique and eco-friendly alternative to the traditional paper place cards for seating arrangements. Use a soy based candles. 

Location – Hold your ceremony and reception outdoors.  Many couples are opting to have a lunch reception in place of traditional evening dinner and reduce the amount of energy required.

Favours – Give seeds or trees and encourage guest to replant the earth. Handmade goodies are always a hit.  Or you can provide locally grown product such as honey and maple syrup.

Transportation – Rent a hybrid SUV or limousine that uses clean fuel for your transportation.  Hold your wedding ceremony and reception at the same location to cut down on the amount of fuel needed to transport guests.

Flowers – Request florals grown in pesticide free soil.  Look for a locally grown organic flowers.  Mix in natural fruits, vegetables and herbs for a natural creative spin on traditional arrangements.

Wedding and Engagement Rings - Buy your engagement and wedding rings from jewelers who support ethically mined gems. Or consider using vintage stones or rings that have been handed down for generations or bought at an antique store.
